SEED2SCALE aims to activate 5 National Competence Centres for Social Innovation (NCCs) in the following countries: Croatia, Greece, Italy, Romania and Slovenia.
It is a continuation of the SEED project (2021-2023) developed in 4 of these states (all except Croatia).
The ambition of SEED2SCALE is to reach a more mature stage of National Competence Centres for Social Innovation with a defined legal framework and effective governance and business models.

The project aims to implement the action of the National Competence Centre for Social Innovation, whose operational headquarters will be in Turin, at Open Incet, the city’s Open Innovation centre that has been managed by the Giacomo Brodolini Foundation since 2015, while the legal headquarters will be at the Politecnico di Milano.
The Italian NCC aims to support the national agenda on social innovation and social economy, promoting innovative solutions to address social issues through sustainable and inclusive products, services and business models.
The main objectives of the Centre are:
– to disseminate knowledge and technical skills on social innovation among public and private actors
– to support the co-design of public policies, collaborating with central, regional and local administrations in the creation of innovative services and solutions according to the principles of shared administration;
– collaborate with other European competence centres for the exchange of experiences and innovative practices.
Definition of the legal, economic, social and political framework for the creation of a Competence Centre
– needs analysis and idea generation for the Croatian NCC
– implementation of NCC: official launch and composition of stakeholder network
– definition of key competences
– implementation of pilot projects with the aim of finalising the key competences portfolio
– development of national strategy and action plan on IS
– development/enhancement of national online platforms
– transnational activities, networking, communication for knowledge transfer and mutual learning.
